With the FobApp, you can:

• View information about the Key Fob, such as the Key Fob label, serial number and battery level.

• Establish a BLE connection from a mobile device to Key Fobs that are within the communication range. When the connection is established, the Key Fob communicates to the iLOQ Cloud through the mobile device, and checks whether there are pending updates. If there are, the Key Fob fetches the updates from the sever.

The app does not need to be paired with the Key Fob or registered in any way. The app is just used for sharing the mobile device's internet connection to the Key Fob so that the Key Fob can communicate with the iLOQ Cloud in relation to updates.

This section describes how to update the Key Fob with the FobApp.

1. Install the FobApp from the relevant application store, according to your operating system.
2. Open the app.
3. Wait until your Key Fob label appears in the NEARBY KEY FOBS list.

   This may take approximately 15 seconds.

   The NEARBY KEY FOBS list shows the all the Key Fobs that are within the mobile device's BLE communication range.

   Note:

   Only Key Fobs that are programmed to a locking system are visible. Unprogrammed Key Fobs are in factory state, and not available for connecting.

4. Select the Key Fob to be updated from the list.

   You can recognize your Key Fob from the label.

   The selected Key Fob appears on the MY KEY FOBS list.

5. Tap the Key Fob icon to update it.
